Spending time down in the Bahamas for a wedding is what convinced me to have a destination wedding of my own. Witnessing family and friends come together to celebrate in a setting so aesthetically stunning was such an exceptional experience to be a part of.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Atlantis, sits a perfectly serene resort, The One&Only Ocean Club. Safe to say when I return to the Bahamas, I won’t be thinking twice about staying anywhere else.
Situated on grounds connected to the Ocean Club lies the Versailles Gardens, a spectacularly lush multi-leveled landscape stretching 1/4 of a mile long and overlooking the waters of Nassau Harbor – #permanentview.
Of course, the beaches were paradise.
We shuttled over to Compass Point, a whimsical beach resort scattered with vividly painted villas, for the rehearsal dinner.
While our July trip came with high temps and dreadful humidity, it was easy to get into the throw-it-in-a-messy-bun-and-go mentality. A lot of travelers avoid visiting islands like the Bahamas in the Summer months, but the empty beaches and low fares in the off-season make it so worth while.
