Floral Dress Two Ways

October 14, 2016

Happy Thursday aka almost-Friday, friends! I have been so incredibly busy the last two weeks (hence the lack of posts) with lots of exciting family travel. My sister-in-law just welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world, so husband & I traveled up to New Hampshire to meet her! There’s nothing like holding a teeny tiny week-old baby, especially when she’s your niece! We had a great time but needless to say it’s been a whirlwind.

This morning, I shared on my Instagram story the first sneak peek of my new website! It has been such a process switching my hosting and working with a designer from the ground-up to built something completely new, but I am over-the-moon excited and can’t wait to share it with you all in the coming weeks!

I have received so many compliments on this dress and can’t get enough of it myself. If you’re into florals, this is a must-have piece. Everything about it is perfect; the fabric, the fit, the length, the colors, the print. I could keep going…

When we shot for this post a few weeks ago, it was a bit chilly, so I paired it with a pair of neutral OTK’s for some extra coverage. As we usually do after we shoot, husband and I went about the rest of our day and before we knew it, hours had passed and the temperature had dropped. You know that feeling when you’ve taken the time to get all made up and just want to stay in your outfit all day? Well, that was me except we had to go to the grocery store & I was freezing. Refusing to take my dress off, I decided to throw on a pair of jeans & some booties, and look #2 was born!

You don’t have to pack away your mini-dresses come the fall. If we’re talking sleeveless, simply throw on a blazer or a leather jacket! Pairing a mini-dress with jeans gives off an effortless, boho vibe, and most importantly, keeps those knees warm!

You can shop my exact dress here, but I’ve also linked some others, along with everything else you see in this post below!

Which look do you like best?
