Pineapple & Prosecco’s New Workspace

January 17, 2017

A home office has been something that I have always wanted, yet never needed, until recently, that is.

I’ve always been one to need a cohesive space to work in, and so I’d set up little “nests” throughout my house with my work all over the place and my organization at an all-time low. I knew I needed a workspace, but I also knew that I didn’t want to just throw one together; rather, I wanted to find a collection of pieces that I would love for years to come.

If you’re thinking about building your own home office, always start with its focal piece – a desk. I wanted my stand-out color to be white and when I stumbled upon the white acrylic desk of my dreams, I knew I was off to a good start.

I found this incredibly cozy faux fur chair (similar) at Homegoods of all places and while its taken the place of my loveseat, AKA the “clothes that are too clean for the laundry but too dirty to put back in the closet” spot, it’s super comfortable…when I’m actually sitting in it.

For those of you who know me, you know that I’ve never been much of a pink person. However, I’ve come to love blush pink as a neutral and scattered traces of it throughout my desk because I love how it pairs with white.

Of course, a desk wouldn’t be complete without some aesthetically pleasing coffee table books, so I chose two of my favorites – Gray Malin’s Beaches & Beauty by Lauren Conrad.

hate change, but I’ve come to love my new space. Any bets on how long it will last before I completely redecorate?

Such an awesome workspace! I’ve been in the same position where I’m hesitant if I needed an office. I just this week started to turn a room in the basement my office! I’m seriously obsessed with that camera stone to decorate with! So stinkin cute!

This is such a wonderful little work space! I desperately need a new desk, since I’ve had the old dorm-style piece in my room for years now and it’s about as terrible as it gets haha! I can’t wait to upgrade to a white beauty like yours soon! You’ve given me serious inspo!

Thanks lovely! A new desk makes SUCH a difference! I wanted to find a piece I could always take with me and that would fit in any room of the house, and this one is perfect for me!

Thanks girl! I found this chair on such a whim in Homegoods while on vacation and thank god we had my truck with us because I HAD to have it!

Omg what a beautiful decoration! I love it! I wish I had room in my apt for a desk place! I work right out of my laptop! Next goal is to get a working space looking like yours!

    • Danielle says:

Thanks Linh! I didn’t think I had room either, but after some rearranging, my space was born! Did you know you could get “half width” desks?! Perfect for smaller spaces!

Lol I do the same thing with my clothes, there’s a designated stool in my room for that! Those accessories you picked are too cute! I need some LuLu and Georgia in my life asap!

I’m completely obsessing over your blogging space! I love the minimalistic design with pops of fun 🙂 Congrats on being so successful- keep it up girl! 🙂

  8. As I’m heading towards blogging full time soon I’ll need a home office too and it will be quite similar to yours. Not that I’m gonna copy you right off (well, maybe the desk as I love it!!!) there will be a lot of similarities 🙂 Thanks for reminding me of that project too and for giving me inspo! 🙂

Your space is so so lovely!!! I desperately need a desk/work space, mine is currently my bed or the couch haha. But my husband has taken over our desk!! Maybe I will kick him out soon 😉 Or at least make him share!!

Thanks lovely! It’s been a long time coming and I definitely needed a few weeks to get used to the major change but it’s sooo nice to have one cohesive space to work in and not be spread out all over the place! xo
