Suiting Up for Fall with Raw-Hem Jeans & Pointed-Toe Booties

September 7, 2016

Though Labor Day is officially over and school is back in session, we don’t have to cry seasonal depression just yet! This weekend was the first time I started to feel a bit of fall and I have to say that I am officially ready. I’m looking forward to crisp mornings and cooler nights (where I can actually use my comforter instead of kicking it off in the middle of the night); but most of all, I can’t wait to switch up my wardrobe.

This weekend, husband and I decided to keep it low-key because of the impending weather that never actually happened. #threecheersformeteorologists! I’m actually glad we did though, because we spent it doing what we do best; relaxing and enjoying home. When it comes to weekend wear, jeans and a tee are my go-to fall essentials. I love the fact that I can take two simple pieces and add a few key items that totally dictate the tone of my outfit. I stumbled upon this Free People camo tee that I immediately fell in love with because it was pleasantly different from the typical ‘army green’. This was THE first time in my life I have ever worn camo, and I have to say, I don’t hate it.

For those of you who are sick of me raving about these J.Crew raw-hem jeans, it’s not gonna stop now. I have always been a huge fan of J.Crew denim. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a pair of jeans from J.Crew that I haven’t loved; and these, my friends, are no exception. Most of all, because my fall food baby (bikini season is officially over) loves the fact that these are a cotton/spandex blend. The delicate knee slits and the raw-hem are the icing on the cake and for under $60, they’re a must-have.

I’ll be honest, I definitely didn’t need to break out these boots just yet but I seriously couldn’t resist. I don’t typically gravitate towards pointed toe shoes but when I saw these taupe block heels, I fell head over heels. They are the perfect neutral color to pair with any color denim and will most definitely be a staple in my fall wardrobe!

How did you guys spend your Labor Day weekend?
