How I Maintain Summer Skin in the Colder Months with Kopari
Ah, Fall and Winter...aka the welcoming of pale, dry skin. Can't wait!
As I'm sure many of you can relate, my perfectly-hydrated, smooth, bronze skin (but let's be real it's bronze because of this holy grail), is no longer once Fall rolls around. The changing of seasons, coupled with the fact that I'm lazy AF because I'm not in shorts and dresses is a recipe for disaster. In the past, I've always just picked up the first moisturizer I could find at the drugstore to stay moisturized and over the years, I had never really found a favorite.
I was introduced to Kopari Beauty back when they launched online in 2015 and fell in love with the idea that their products went back to basics. The base ingredient in all of Kopari's products is 100% all nautral, organic coconut oil. No crazy additives or long list of ingredients; no sulfates, silicones, parabens, GMOs or toxins, that, scarily enough, are in so many products on the market right now.
The first product I ever purchased was the Organic Coconut Melt. My skin and hair started reaping the benefits immediately and from there, I was hooked. I've since tried nearly every product in Kopari's line and am so glad to have finally found a brand that is a true investment for my skin.
Right / Kopari's Organic Coconut Melt has a long list of uses, but I use it most regularly on my skin after a shower (Joe loves it too) or on the ends of my hair as a conditioning mask. It comes hardened in a jar, but melts into a liquid the second it touches your hands! Remember that it is an oil, so a little goes a long way. When I apply it to my skin, I like to let it absorb for a few minutes before getting dressed and my skin stays hydrated all day. The melt has really helped to hydrate my skin this time of year.
Below / I just tried the Coconut Kiss Kit a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed. These tinted glosses are sisters of the Coconut Lip Love, which is a clear gloss. First of all, it tastes like coconut cotton candy...which is enough for me in and of itself. But I carry these around with me 24/7 (I'll use them over lipstick during the day and alone before bed) and the hydration from the coconut oil keeps my lips feeling sooo good.
Left / I also recently introduced Kopari's Bodycare line into my routine. The Coconut Body Milk is a great option if you're looking for more of a lotion than an oil. It has all of the same benefits on your skin as using the melt does, but simply applies differently. Using this over the melt for me is simply a matter of preference!
The Coconut Body Oil, on the other hand, is a sister of the melt, and a great alternative when traveling since it comes in a spray bottle. Sometimes, I just want the convenience of spraying on a dry oil rather than scooping out and liquefying the melt (although this process takes about 2.5 seconds), and that's when I'll use the dry oil.
Below / I never used to exfoliate! Over the years though, I've learned the importance of 'refreshing' my skin and so when Kopari came out with an exfoliating scrub, I was all in. The Coconut Crush scrub is a brown sugar scrub, and the coolest part? The exfoliant is actually pieces of Tahitian coconut shell.
Below Right / Kopari's Coconut Body Glow is an coconut oil-based moisturizer that gives you a tinted shimmer. It is not a self-tanner but does have some color in it (that washes right off in the shower!). This smells absolutely delicious and while I mostly use this in the summer months on my legs and arms, it's great for any cold-shoulder or OTS tops in the fall to give your skin a little shimmery boost!
Have you tried Kopari's body or skincare line yet? Would love to hear your thoughts below!
Thank you to Kopari and the #KopariCrush team for partnering with me on this post!
