What to Wear When Weather Throws a Curveball
I feel like my life + style blog has turned into a freaking weather blog. Can’t we just settle on Spring already?!
Just two weeks ago, I was breaking out my midi skirts and tees in 65-degrees, welcoming the change of season. Currently, however, I’m in a turtleneck with 3 layers underneath fighting the urge to stay in bed all day and out of this 10-degree misery.
This transitional weather can be so tricky – one day we’re embracing our Spring wardrobes and the next it’s back to cozy knits. One of my favorite ways to layer without looking and feeling like we’re stuck in the dead of winter is with light sweaters and cropped jackets. This Topshop mock-neck has a fun, textured detail and is warm enough to keep you cozy but light enough to wear on its own. I paired it with my favorite cropped suede moto jacket, balancing it out on the bottom with raw-hem denim and d’orsay flats.
Another way to keep cozy while embracing Springtime vibes is to play with a lighter color palette. Can we talk about how much I’m loving light blue right now? Blush pinks, light yellows and peaches are also great colors to experiment with this time of year. I’ll be sharing a post next week all about embracing a lighter color palette!
Anyone else struggling with this weird in-between like I am?!
