Amazon Prime Day 2023: What You Need to Know

Amazon Prime Day 2023 is officially kicking off and I'm here to help keep it simple so you can find the deals you're looking for! Prime day can be tricky because it's very fast-paced. Deals are constantly coming and going over the course of the two days that Prime Day runs for, and it can definitely feel a little overwhelming and discombobulated at times.

For me, Prime Day is either a time to restock on my favorites or to purchase a splurge item (usually kitchen, household or tech) that's been on my wishlist. For Amazon Prime Day 2023, I'll be covering all different categories across the sale so you can get a big picture of what's discounted and find the items that you want or need most.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023 and how can I shop the sales?

Prime Day runs just two days, on July 11th and 12th. In order to take advantage of Prime day sales and discounts, you must be an Amazon Prime member. If you're not already a Prime member, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here. If you choose to stay a member after the trial, current membership pricing is $14.99/month or $139/year.

If you're currently a student, you can take advantage of Prime Student for $7.49/month or $69/year.

We've been Prime members for many years now and I can definitely stay that our Prime membership has paid for itself in savings and shipping over the years. Definitely worth it for us!

How can I find what's on sale?

There are a few ways to browse Prime Day deals! First, you can always visit the Prime Day homepage, where you can find lightning deals, best-sellers, browse sale categories and more. If you're looking for a more tailored shopping experience, you can head right to my Amazon storefront to see all of my favorites broken down by category.

Helpful tip: Most often, you're looking for Prime Day deals signified by the red sale tag next to the item. But, some items require you to click on the product page first to see the deal. Deals can be easy to miss, so always double check by clicking on the item you're browsing!

What is a lightning deal?

Lightning Deal is a sale in which a limited number of discounts are offered on an item for a short period. Prime Day will share lightning deals throughout the day right here that you can browse throughout the day.
