Fall is always my favorite time of year to dress for, especially when it comes to workwear! I'll admit, workwear can sometimes be boring in a business environment, but I always feel like I can bring more of my personal style into the pieces I wear to work this time of year.

From cozy sweaters I can also wear on the weekend, to midi skirts that I can dress down outside of work with a graphic tee, I get much more use out of the pieces I wear during the Fall/Winter season.

Highlighting two capsule pieces today that can be styled so many different ways, both which have been a staple in my Fall workwear wardrobe.

No.1 - Topshop Plaid Midi Skirt

My favorite way to wear this plaid midi is with a light sweater and an ankle boot, but you can also tuck in a blouse and add a pump for a more sophisticated look.

The brown plaid print is seasonally on-trend and also a great color to mix and match with. Think soft, warm colors or classic neutrals.

No.2 - Ann Taylor Faux Suede Trousers

I have so many pairs of pants in this same style from Ann Taylor that I absolutely love, so I was so excited to see that they came out with this style in a seasonal suede.

Pair these textured pants with a printed blouse (the ones above are incredible budget finds!) on meeting days, or a lightweight sweater.
