Holiday Gift Wrapping Ideas to Try this Year
Gift wrapping is one of those things that you either love or hate. For me, it's therapeutic, like doing a puzzle or reading a book. Weird? Maybe. I love putting time into curating a gift wrapping theme each year and for those of you who are on the opposite end of the spectrum (and who just want to get it over with), my Type A brain has got you covered!
I put together 8 gift wrapping ideas and themes you can adapt, plus also giving you a sneak peek of everything I personally bought this year for my own gifts. Hope this helps!

My Gift Wrapping Theme
Elegant meets traditional meets vintage floral
I absolutely adored how last year's wrapping theme came to life, and I'm sticking with it this year, too! I wanted a mix of rich, traditional colors paired with French florals that all tied together really elegantly, and this is what I landed on.
If you're looking for unique wrapping paper, highly recommend checking out Etsy's wrapping selection. Not only are you shopping small, but there are so many cool, different prints if you use the right keywords.
A few of my favorite Etsy shops for gift wrapping ideas:
A Thing Created, Ruby Stripe, House of Parlington
As a rule of thumb, always remember to check the length of the roll you're ordering. You'll always pay a little more from an independent seller versus a Hallmark find, but make sure you know exactly how much you're getting out of your gift wrap!
Gift wrapping themes to copy and paste
If you like traditional holiday gift wrap with a flair, muted florals are a great theme. Don't be afraid to mix and max different floral patterns, and pick a ribbon shade that brings out the patterns in the wrapping.
Pink and green wrapping has a fun, dreamy holiday feel to it. The bow gift tags are a great touch that will really bring this theme to life!
Ralph Lauren Christmas is trending this year and bringing back all the 90s nostalgia. Think classic colors, tartan & striped patterns and teddy bear details.
If simple and natural is your vibe, lean towards rustic, earthy tones. This is where where minimalistic and neutral meet festive and chic.
If you just can't choose a theme, traditional wrapping is the way to go! Try subtle greens mixed with deep burgundy and brown tones, and a pop of color like this deep red velvet ribbon.
If you love a classic Christmas, bring in a retro theme with some vintage style gift wrap and fun details like these old school gift tags.
Mixing neutrals and gold accents with this cozy theme make the holiday gift wrapping almost too pretty to open!
If you love elegant florals, chinoiserie and toile de jouy, Parisian is your vibe! Soft florals and a lighter palette accented with ivory & gold create a sophisticated and festive look.
