Alright I'm going to be straight up and tell you that I need a damn break from woven bags after compiling all 687 of them for this post. I'm being dramatic buttttt...just let me be over it for now.
Once tomorrow rolls around, I'll be back on the bandwagon.
I have to say that when this trend came about last Spring, I was totally on board but not sure that it would last. Woven bags have been around forever (I probably have a million suuuper old woven beach bags the bottom of the storage pile) but something about them stuck, and is still sticking this year. best woven bags
I've personally been loving the smaller structured styles and round shapes. There's something really elevated yet effortless about throwing on a woven crossbody with an outfit as simple as jeans and a white tee that creates that picture-esque spring/summer look. Not to mention woven bags literally go with everything.
I'm wearing this Rock N Rose structured crossbody from ASOS, which I picked up for a shoot a few weeks ago. While it's a little north of a reasonable price point for the size, I've literally been wearing it non-stop, so in the end it was worth it! Paired it with these fun windowpane wide legs a simple white blouse. best woven bags
Breaking down a HUGE list of my favorite picks below...Which style is your favorite? best woven bags
I've been so into the structured style as of late, ever since I added this Kate Spade bag to my collection (see it styled here). You also know I love my OG - the Cult Gaia small ark bag, which you've undoubtedly seen on just about every blogger. Never thought I'd get so much use out of such an impractical bag.
ALSO LOVING:
+ The size and the black detail on this Free People bag
+ The unique shape on this woven rattan bag under $100 from Nordstrom
+ The insanely low price-point on this gorgeous two-toned bag from Forever21
A woven clutch is the perfect way to 'summerize' a date night or wedding look. I picked this SHASHI embellished clutch up last year at Revolve (see it styled here) and it's back in stock this season!
ALSO LOVING:
+ The simplicity of this classic clutch with fringe detail that will go with everything
+ The fun shape and texture on this Mar Y Sol clutch that also doubles as a crossbody
+ The colorful details on this Chelsea28 clutch under $60
I'd be totally okay with having an endless supply of round woven bags. I've been toting around this light woven crossbody that also has a top handle and have a feeling it will be one of my most-used pieces this summer.
ALSO LOVING:
+ The cut out style of this white woven bag
+ The abstract design on this piece (a bit of splurge, but the perfect vacation statement)
+ The gorgeous color on this pom-detailed bag, also a splurge but a great pick for the next Shopbop steal
Last but not least...totes + statement bags, AKA the perfect piece to treat yo self on for an upcoming vacation! While I admit that I have an excess of bags, when it comes to totes and beach bags, I only have 1 or 2 that I use. Perfect reason to add one of these to the mix.
ALSO LOVING:
+ The macrame and fringe detail on this tote
+ The bold color on this red statement piece. Haven't found many colored woven bags that I love, but this is one of them
+ Anything and everything stars! This drawstring tote looks so roomy
