Rounding up 6 fall trends I'm wearing this season, plus the one Fall trend that will never make its way into my closet!

If you've been following along on Instagram, you know that my go-to combo as of late has been chunky knits and midi skirts. This satin skirt from Free People is quickly becoming the most-worn item in my wardrobe; so easy to pair with blouses, graphic tees and sweaters.

Styled it here with this chunky chenille knit from AE (also great with leggings + long enough to cover your butt) and a pop of mustard.

You'd never know from how these photos came out that this shoot day was a total nightmare. It was like NYC had seen its first Fall day in years - the streets were packed, the sun was shining (way too brightly for photos) and it was just one of those days where Anglene and I had to call it a day halfway through. Just a little reminder that most of what goes on behind the scenes is really just organized chaos.

Sylvia will never let me hear the end of my obsession with teddy coats. I have so many in my closet, yet each time Fall rolls around, I find myself pining for a new one to add to my collection. I just ordered this one earlier this week because I loved the length and the color.

There's something about a sleek satin (or silk) midi skirt that I love when paired with a cozy, chunky knit. I can't get enough of the 'casual/cozy on top, polished on the bottom' look and have been mixing and matching with this combo all season long. I have this satin midi in two colors - it has the perfect silhouette! (if you're in between sizes, size up).

Confession: I'll never stop buying neutral sweaters. The pile keeps growing higher, and it doesn't even phase me. I've found so many great pieces at H&M this year (linked below), some of which were my favorite pieces revived from last season. You really can't go wrong with neutrals this time of year!

I remember being younger + scoffing at my moms leather pointed toe kitten heel boots - now, I'm shopping for them. I love the sophistication of a pointed toe boot (or even an almond shape) - it's one of those effortless pieces with a pair of denim or a dress that just elevates a look. This suede pair is hands down the most-worn boot in my closet and since it's a 2017 style, it's on major sale (I just bought a back-up pair for when mine wear out because I love them that much!)

Hats are one of my favorite accessories because working in a corporate environment, I don't get to wear them on a day to day basis. For that reason, you'll almost always find me in a hat outside of work! Earlier this year, I tried out the infamous Lack of Color brand for the first time and it was love at first sight. Ranchers, panama hats, berets, baker boys...you name it, i'll try it (and probably love it).

Before last year, you wouldn't have found any shade of yellow in my closet. Since starting my blog, I've experimented with a lot of styles and colors I most likely wouldn't have tried otherwise; one of them being mustard. I always thought of it as a 'yucky' color, but have come to love it! It pairs with my blonde seamlessly and is a great color to try if you want to step out of neutrals this Fall.

SO - the one trend you'll never see me in...ever? Snake print. Not now. Not maybe next year. Not ever. Just doesn't suit me!

Before a few weeks ago, 'dad sneakers' would have been on my list too, but something compelled me to try them and I'm a little embarrassed to say (after saying no 100 times), I actually like them! This is the pair I picked up.
