To be totally honest, a few years ago, if I heard the word plissé I would've been like 'umm plee-what?' It's a fabric that I had undoubtedly seen many times before, but never knew the name attached to it.

If you're not familiar with the fabric, think of plissé as tiny minute pleats that have a lot of stretch. Typically, you'll see this fabric with metallics and especially around holiday season.

My reason for loving this fabric? It's the perfect mix of glam and comfy AF, and usually means that I can do a lot of moving around and eating when I'm wearing plissé pieces.

Rounding up 6 quick favorites that have been on my radar this holiday season. Pair them with a pair of pumps and a nice blouse, throw on a leather jacket, and you're holiday-party ready.

Dress It Up or Down

I had so much fun shooting this look earlier this Fall, and since it wasn't quite holiday season, I chose to dress down my pants (on sale!) with this mustard crop thermal and a pair of chunky combat boots.

It really is a versatile fabric that you can style casually with a denim jacket and a graphic tee, or glam it up with a fitted bodysuit or silk blouse and a pair of heels.

Recently picked up these velvet wide leg plissé pants on major sale for holiday season, and will most likely style them with a black mesh bodysuit and a leather jacket. Also grabbed this metallic midi skirt for this year's holiday card (see it styled here), which will also double as the perfect piece for a New Year's look.
