When I buy a new piece, I never really know how much use I'm going to get out of it. Can't tell you how many times I swore up and down I'd love it, it'd be a staple in my closet for years, blah blah blah - and the tags never came off.styling overalls this fall
One piece, however, that's gotten its fair share of wear and that I'll be resurrecting this season are these overalls. As with most overalls, I picked them up not really expecting much, but the second I put them on stepped in front of the mirror, I was all in. I love the high-waisted, wide leg style that fits like a glove in all the right places and honestly feel like these are such a versatile piece for many different body types.
As a one-piece style, you have to get creative with how you style overalls and find the perfect mix of not-too-boring-and-repetitive yet not-too-over-the-top. styling overalls this fall
Here are 3 ways to switch up styling your overalls this season..
Pair Them with a Feminine
Blouse
Overalls give off a laid-back, tomboy vibe (which don't get me wrong, I love), and so pairing them with something a bit more feminine makes for a great conbo.
Think ruffles, a fun neckline, or a print. I'm loving statement sleeves and floral right now.
Pair Them with a
Lightweight Knit
Styling overalls with a chunky, thick sweater can be tricky. Since we'll be living in sweaters all season long, opt for a lighter fabric to layer with your overalls.
Think stripes, ballon sleeves and earthy tones. Pair them with a baker boy hat and you've got the perfect combo IMO.
Pair Them with a Fitted
Turtleneck
Another piece I'll most definitely be living in this season. I love a fitted look with overalls; especially with the wide leg style I'm wearing.
Think textures (ribbed/thermal) + sleeve details.
