I've always loved Valentine's Day! Maybe it was because it was something to look forward to after the excitement of holiday season was over, or because of how special my mom used to make it for my brother and I growing up. I have these memories of her leaving a trail of little construction paper hearts around the house that led to little treats and surprises (I'll totally continue the tradition with my kids some day).

Of course it can be a highly commercialized holiday, but whether it's a new outfit or a 'just because' gift for a girlfriend, mom or co-worker, I always like to have a little fun with it.
