Ahh this has been one of my all-time favorite shoots to date and god knows I've been sharing enough on Instagram with you! So excited to finally be able to give you a peek of the full shoot with one of my favorite new sweaters of the season.
Chenille is one of those fabrics that everyone is wanting in their wardrobe right now, but it wasn't easy finding the perfect piece! Before I found this sweater, I tried quite a few chenille pieces that didn't work out. While chenille really is as cozy as wearing a blanket, its heavy material can weigh down a bit. Given the nature of the fabric, if you don't have the right silhouette for your bodyshape, it can feel frumpy and unflattering.
I love the cropped dolman shape of this piece because it allows me to achieve that oversized look that I love this time of year, without feeling too baggy. For this particular piece, I do recommend sizing up (I'm wearing a M) because of the length. This sweater also comes in a gorgeous burgundy, which usually would have been my first choice. I am so not a yellow person, but I found this to be more of a marigold. It wears absolutely gorgeously with denim and is the perfect Fall shade.
I paired it with a white crossbody from Rebecca Minkoff (currently half off!) that I bought for the summer season but have ended up wearing all year long, one of my fave pairs of girlfriend denim from Levi's and the #1 most-worn boot in my closet at the moment!
