The Date Night Edit: My Go-To Staple Outfits
Although I always prefer a cozy night at home, Joe and I try to schedule date nights whenever we can. Ultimately, spending that quality time together allows us to get out of our normal routine and reconnect. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I thought I'd share some date night outfit ideas and my go-to staple pieces. Sometimes, all you need are a few basics that can be dressed up for cocktail hour, or down for a casual Friday night. From leather pants to neutral knits, a classic blazer and some black jeans, here are a few date night-appropriate staples you need.
I've rounded up a ton of options at different price points so no matter your budget, there's something here for everyone!

For a local dinner spot
One of the easiest ways to dress up a pair of jeans is with a cut out top and some heels. Accessorize with some gold jewelry, throw a blazer on over top and you're good to go!
For cozy cocktails
In the winter I'm all about the cozy knits! This H&M turtleneck is under $35 and would look so chic paired with some black denim and booties. These square toe boots are by far one of my most-worn pairs, are super comfortable and elevate any outfit.
For something casual
This is one of my go-to outfits for those casual Friday nights. Dress up a plain white tee with a leather jacket for an edgy yet effortless look. This $65 biker jacket is a steal and can be styled a hundred different ways.
For when you want to 'wow'
You guys know I'm obsessed with my Abercrombie leather pants! One of the comfiest pairs of pants I own (they literally feel like leggings) and are perfect for date night. I shared five different ways to style them here so no matter the occasion, you can find a reason to wear them.
