Your Guide to the best Denim Shorts
Honestly, not a big shorts gal...never have been. BUT, denim shorts are just one of those Spring + Summer staples that are in most of our rotations!
Abercrombie, AGOLDE and Levi's are pretty much the only denim shorts brands I've found that really work for me, personally. Although I don't own any recent pairs, Old Navy has also been a great resource for budget-friendly options in the past.

Which denim shorts fit is right for you?
A note on Abercrombie regular versus Curve love: Abercrombie Curve Love is not an exclusively plus size style (Curve Love comes in sizes 24-32). Curve Love is great for those of us who tend to have a smaller-proportionate waist to our butt/hips/thighs. You know that annoying waist gap that a lot of denim gives you when jeans fit perfectly around your hips and legs? Curve Love SOLVES that problem!
ABERCROMBIE HIGH RISE MOM SHORT
Comes in both regular & Curve Love fits. Classic length with the perfect amount of stretch. Size up for a looser fit or if you're in between sizes. Otherwise, stick to your true size!
ABERCROMBIE HIGH RISE 4" MOM SHORT
Comes in both regular & Curve Love fits. More of a modest length with the perfect amount of stretch. Size up for a looser fit or if you're in between sizes. Otherwise, stick to your true size!
ABERCROMBIE MID RISE BOYFRIEND SHORT
Comes in both regular & Curve Love fits. This pair fits looser around the leg with a little extra length in the back of the short, although the overall length is similar to the original high rise mom short. Stick true to size on this pair.
AGOLDE PARKER SHORT
THE classic denim short and my personal favorite AGOLDE style! Vintage 100% denim with a mid-rise. Perfect balance of not-too-short and not-too-tight. Stick true to size. Also comes in a longer style: "Parker Long".
AGOLDE DEE SHORT
This short has more of a true high rise, with a bit closer of a fit around the thighs. Great everyday short that's a little longer than the parker. Stick true to size, or size up if you usually need a little extra room in the legs/butt.
AGOLDE JADEN SHORT
High rise similar to the Dee, with a shorter inseam. This 100% denim short also has a closer fit around the thighs but with side seam slits for a little extra room. Great vacation short for pool days! Size UP in this style.
AGOLDE REESE SHORT
This style has a mid-rise similar to the Parker short but has a longer inseam similar to the Dee. Denim is mid-weight and a little less thick than the other styles. If in between sizes, size up, otherwise stick to your true size.
