Spring makeup routine

My Spring Makeup Routine + Current Favorites

Sephora's annual Spring Savings Event is underway and while everything's discounted, I thought it'd be the perfect time to share an updated Spring makeup routine! Many of these products have been in my makeup bag for years, but there are a few newer products I've been loving too.

You know I love a glowy base, so a lot of what you'll see will give you a dewy, sunkissed type look. I've always felt these type of products keep my skin looking really fresh and radiant (there are also alternatives for most of these products in matte too!).

Sharing a full break down of my Spring makeup routine below!

Primer & Foundation

Tula Face Filter Primer - Smoothes skin and blurs imperfections with a subtle tint for the perfect hint of glow. A great throw on and go for no makeup days where you just want a liiittle something. I use shade Sunrise (code DANIELLEGERVINO) *not part of Sephora sale

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops - I purchased these at last year's Sephora sale and have been loving them ever since. Mix a drop in with your AM moisturizer or primer for a natural, sun-kissed glow. The best part? The product itself if a serum that defends against pollution and environmental stressors.

ItCosmetics CC Cream +Illumination - Although a "CC" or "color correcting" cream, I use this product as a foundation. It's buildable from next to nothing to full coverage, and the +illumination version gives a gorgeous subtle glow. I use shade "Neutral Medium" in the Summertime. Extra perk - it contains SPF 50+!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter - This multi-use product can be used as a primer, mixed with foundation, used in lieu of foundation, or even as a highlighter. On light makeup days, I'll use this instead of CC cream, and on full makeup days, I use Flawless Filter over my CC cream for a little extra glow all around. Gives a beautiful, airbrushed "filtered" makeup look. I use shade 3.

Under Eye Concealer

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish - If you were a fan of the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector (Becca is sadly going out of business so this won't be available for much longer), you will love Magic Vanish! I actually love it even more because its formula is thinner and less sticky. This is a great pre-step to under eye concealer to target those dark circles. I use shade Fair.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer - The best, most brightening coverage that stays all day (make sure your under eyes are nice and hydrated for optimal wear). If you're prone to dryness or have more mature skin, I recommend the new Shape Tape Ultra Creamy. I use shade Light in both products. (code DANIELLE) *not part of Sephora sale

Brows

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - I've been using this brow pencil for years! Shade Medium Brown is perfect for my dark brows.

NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Pen - I use this brow pen on the underside of my brows to create more natural-looking hair strokes. The tip is reminiscent of a liquid liner, but much thinner, and creates the most natural look. *not part of Sephora sale

Patrick Ta Major Brow Shaping Wax - If you're going for that fluffy, brushed brows look, this if your product! Make sure to activate it first by spraying some setting spray on a spoolie before picking up the wax.

Blush, Bronze & Highlight

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand Liquid Blush - I tried CT's Beauty Light Wands after they went viral on TikTok and they definitely live up to the hype! The liquid blush in shade Peachgasm gives a beautiful pinky glow. *not part of Sephora sale

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer - Although liquid & cream products are usually my preference, this powder bronzer is too good to pass up! It gives a gorgeous bronzy glow for the perfect after-sun look. I use shade Luminous Bronze Light.

Jouer Powder Highlighter - My favorite powder highlight, hands down! The pigment is insane (I liked this 10x better than the Chanel highlighter everyone raves about!). I use shade Citrine.

Eyes

Too Face Born This Way Eyeshadow Palette - My top eyeshadow palette recommendation for warm neutrals! Has everything you need in both shimmer and matte shades.

Ilia Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint - I looove this liquid eyeshadow for a little pop of color. It's highly-pigmented formula glides on (I use my fingers to apply) for a buildable color. I use shades Mythic & Fresco.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner - This product has been in my makeup bag forever. I love the felt tip, which makes for a perfect cat eye application. Tip: if doing a cat eye, dip your ring finger in your setting powder and dab over your liner once dried. If needed, apply a second coat on top of the setting powder to re-darken the black. This will help is truly stay all day!

You might've noticed there's no mascara in my makeup routine! I use Lashify, so there's no need for mascara (more on this IGTV + my Lashify story highlight), but my top rec for mascara is Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes. (code DANIELLE)

Lips

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner - I always used to assume that liner was only for that dramatic, 90s lined-lips look. I now match my liner to my neutral lip shades to help give my lips a fuller appearance. I love Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk shade as a universal neutral.

Ilia Color Block Lipstick - This is a really beautiful medium-toned nude that I've been reaching for lately. Great for everyday! I use shade Amberlight.

Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips - This lipstick has a lightweight formula with a glossier finish. Goes on so smooth and has a beautiful pigment while feeling like a really hydrating balm for your lips! I use shade Pillow Talk.

Tarte Maneater Gloss - This is great on its own or as a finishing gloss. Plumps up lips with a tingle! I use shade Buff.

TooFaced Hangover Pillow Balm - Keep this one in your bag, by your bed, on your vanity. Trust me! So hydrating and soothing for lips.

More neutral lipsticks I love here!

Setting Powder & Spray

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder - I like to apply this with a damp beauty blender or a tapered brush to areas prone to 'stickiness', like under eyes and chin. Great as an all-over setting powder too and the new packaging is awesome.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray - Doubles as a primer or a setting spray! Light, fresh, and helps to set the base of my makeup for all-day wear. I use this at the very end of my makeup routine!

Brushes & Blenders

ItCosmetics Heavenly Luxe Bronzer Brush - The best of the best! I've been using this bronzer brush for years and could not recommend it more. It's 30% off right now for ItCosmetics's Friends & Family sale, too! *not part of Sephora sale

ItCosmetics Airbrush Flawless Highlight Brush - This brush is great because it allows you to lightly distribute the perfect highlight.

Sigma Tapered Blending Eyeshadow Brush - A staple brush in any makeup bag if you're using eyeshadow!

Sigma Pencil Brush - I use this brush when I want to apply a little shadow under my eyes (as if eyeliner) and find that applying shadow versus eyeliner gives a much more natural look!

And of course, couldn't live without by Beauty Blenders! I use these to apply just about every step of my makeup routine. Highly recommend using the original brand versus a cheaper alternative. See a video on how to clean and disinfect your beauty blender here!
