Investing in a great suede piece is kind of a no-brainer, right? It's one of those timeless fabrics that will truly never go out of style and can be worn from season to season without having to be stuffed away in storage for the in-between months.
However...show of hands who wants to spend upwards of $400? None.
When BLANK NYC released their Morning Suede Moto Jacket a few years back, there was no question that I needed it in my closet (no thanks to BLANK for releasing it in a rainbow of colors and tempting me to buy every single one). It's one of those pieces that just works. It runs true to size, it's cropped just enough but not too much, it's hardware gives it the perfect amount of edge, and the quality of the jacket holds up beautifully from year to year.
Priced at $188, it certainly isn't cheap by any means; but who said you had to pay full price? Stores like Lord & Taylor and Shopbop are great places to look for this piece when sales hit. I admittedly now have this jacket in 3 colors and have never paid full price, so it pays to keep a lookout! (tip: sign up for Shoptagr, which will notify you when it goes on sale!). If you don't want to wait, I also love these lookalikes from Forever 21 & BB Dakota.
