5 Winter Trends I’m Loving
There's something about this season that I absolutely love to dress for. Maybe it's all of the layers or textures, or just all of the cozy in general. What I'm loving about this year's winter trends is that they're practical, and a lot of the pieces I'm loving are already a part of my wardrobe. Naturally, I'm always looking for new coats and sweaters, but can you blame a girl? Here are the 5 trends I'm loving this winter...
Colorful Faux Fur
Those of you who know me know that I love my neutrals. A little color never hurt anybody, though. I've been loving accessorizing with colorful faux fur to compliment my neutral looks. This one from ASOS is sadly only left in one size, but I've linked some of my other favorites.
Being honest, I had no intentions of trying this trend and felt absolutely ridiculous the first time I tried this on. My girlfriends and I had a good laugh about the correct way to wear it, and let me tell you, it took quite a few tries before getting it right. I have to say I do love the Parisian vibes they give off and think when they're done the right way, they can be the perfect compliment to a winter look. Love this one from UO - it has a stretch band so it's super comfy.
I will admit that I loved shearling last year just as much as I do this year. Kind of nice to know that all of my impulse purchases are still validated. This cognac faux shearling I'm wearing went so fast (hope some of you snatched it up when I first posted it!) It's still available in one size though. I've also been loving Topshop's designs this year - just picked up this burgundy coat and I am sooo excited to receive it!
Winter might just be my favorite season to dress for. Adding to my sweater collection is an actual hobby. Over the years though you can only collect so many knits, so this season I've been loving adding lots of texture to my wardrobe. This Chicwish number has been at the top of many people's list this year (also love the cardi version). See some of my other finds below!
Really, I'll take white any day of the year, but there's something about a classic all-white winter look that I just can't get enough of. When I style an all-white look, I usually like to do so with a great pair of denim, and mix up my layers with different textures and shades of white like creams and ivories. A white accessory is also a great third piece (can you tell I'm into white hats this year?)
