Quarantine Hair Just Got a Whole Lot Easier

As we enter into the Spring season this year, many of our daily routines have been turned upside down. Especially with so many of us working from home, we’re discovering a new normal. Perhaps the biggest change for me personally being home, is that getting ready for the day is no longer a necessity.
As I’ve adjusted to life at home, I’ve found that while there’s not necessarily a need to get up and ready, put on my makeup and do my hair, I feel my best when I take that extra 10-15 minutes each day. That being said, I’ve implemented some time-saving hacks along the way, one of which being my non-wash hair routine thanks to Waterl<ss.
Founded on a mission to conserve
Waterl<ss was founded alongside the 2018 Day Zero water crisis in Cape Town, South Africa. With an inherent need for conservation, Waterl<ss’ products enabled a greater stretch between wash days, allowing women, with different hair types, to still look and feel their best without a single drop of water.
My go-to Waterl<ss products
Having long, thick hair in addition to extensions, I dread wash days. My goal is to keep my hair routine as simple as possible (especially now), which also includes going as long as possible in between washes. Just because I’m stretching out my wash days though, doesn’t mean I don’t need a little pick me up in between! That’s where Waterl<ss comes in. For the past few weeks, I’ve been incorporating Waterl<ss’ Dry Shampoo & Dry Conditioner into my routine to keep my hair feeling fresh without the burden of a full wash-dry-style routine.
Around day 3, my roots start to become more prone to oil. I’ve been using Waterl<ss’ No Residue Dry Shampoo on the crown of my hair near the root, and also on my back roots underneath. I typically let it do its job and absorb the oil for about 20 seconds, and then work it through my hair with my fingers. And just like that, day 3 hair becomes day 1 hair.
Waterl<ss’ Dry Conditioner (Instant Moisture) comes in for me after heat styling. My ends tend to dry out quickly (especially given that I can’t see my stylist for regular trims) and this product helps to nourish my ends, bringing moisture back into my hair. I spray evenly from the mid-shaft of my hair to the ends, work it through my hair so it deposits evenly, and it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth without feeling heavy or oily. It also helps to control frizz & flyaways!
When I’m realllllly stretching that time between washes, Waterl<ss’ Rose & Peach Fragrance Mist has been the perfect pick me up (and excuse to go just one more day). It leaves a light, fresh scent in my hair while also taming frizz.
Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without dry hair products! They have been such a time-saver, allowing me to significantly cut down my hair routine. V thankful to Waterl<ss, who’s helping me get away with skipping those washes while still keeping my hair looking its best. You can grab these on Amazon here!
