My Fall Capsule Wardrobe for 2025
Fall is my season. It's the time of year when I get to bring out the pieces in my closet that make me feel my best (bury me in my outerwear collection).
While I love embracing new trends (tailored vests and suede accessories are two of my favorites this season), my Fall capsule wardrobe is the foundation for every outfit I build. The beauty of staples is their versatility — you can keep it classic with a blazer, jeans, and your favorite tee, or use them to style a standout piece or a trend you're into (like like a leopard flat).
In today’s highly-requested post, I'm sharing my Fall wardrobe staples for 2025 that I'll be wearing on repeat all season, plus over 20 ways to mix and match these pieces.

Staple Tops
Basic Tees - Classic tees in black and white are always one of my most-worn staples year-round. I have the Abercrombie Essential Tee in almost every color - it's the perfect fit (not too tight or too loose) and only $19.
Vest - This is a great elevated staple to bring in from your Summer capsule that looks great layered with a draped sweater for Autumn.
Satin Blouse - Love a satin blouse because it's a great workwear staple that you can also bring into date night or your weekend plans. Quince has great staple blouses that have a little stretch content to them, making them extra comfortable.
Denim Shirt - We love a denim on denim moment, or even a more casual denim-shirt-tailored-pant workwear look. Aritzia's denim shirt in 'Kiss n Tell Blue' is my OG favorite.
White Button-Down - One of those Fall wardrobe staples that's just a non-negotiable. J.Crew and GAP have great button-down options!
Crewneck Sweater - Likely one of my most-worn Fall staples day-to-day. Quince carries my all-time favorite oversized crewneck. I also love the shape of the classic Arket crewneck although it's not the softest (layering with a tee works just fine). More about how to buy Arket if you're in the US in this TikTok video.
Cardigan - I've been loving the look of structured cardigans this season, but whatever style you prefer will do just fine! H&M is always my first stop for affordable knitwear.

Staple Bottoms, Skirts + Dresses
Classic Denim - Jeans are my love language, and you know my love for AGOLDE denim runs deep. If you're not quite ready to splurge on a pair of jeans, try Abercrombie denim, which is another favorite!

Tailored Pants - Not just a workwear staple! Tailored pants are also a great alternative to jeans dressed down with sneakers. Abercrombie tailored pants are always a top contender.
Faux Leather Pants - Another great alternative to jeans that can easily be dressed up or down. Abercrombie's High-Rise 90s Relaxed is my current favorite style.
Slip Dress - There's so much you can do with a slip dress! Throw on a blazer for work, a sweater for weekends or a leather jacket for date night.
Satin Skirt - One of my must-have Fall wardrobe staples for 2025. I always recommend opting for a maxi length and this unexpected Amazon find is a favorite!

Staple Outerwear
Blazer - love a blazer that's a little on the longer and more oversized side. H&M is always my first stop when I'm looking for something new (and affordable). This Abercrombie blazer is another classic that will never go out of style.
Trench Coat - The trench is a perfect in-between coat when you want something light and classic, but don't need that heavy outerwear just set. This Oak + Fort trench is a little on the pricier side, but I'm a big believer of investing once, and wearing forever (I recommend sizing down). If you're looking for a fun trending cropped style, I was so impressed with this Amazon find.
Leather Jacket - This is another one of my non-negotiable Fall wardrobe staples for 2025. Zara offers a great mid-price point on faux leather jackets. I invested in this piece by DeSavary, which I've had for many years.
Suede Jacket - Suede will always be synonymous with Fall but I love that it's really moved into the spotlight these past few seasons. Also love Zara for a great mid-price point on suede.

Staple Shoes
Sneakers - What I'm wearing most days. Adidas Samba or Gazelle are two styles I've been wearing non-stop (if you're not sure where to start, check out my sizing guides!)
Slingbacks - Although a slingback is a little on the trendier side, a slingback never really goes out of style IMO! It's a super easy way to update your current heel situation. This comfy Sam Edelman pair is one of my favorites.
Ballet Flats - Ballet flats are here to stay! As long as you can get past your middle school self wearing flats everyday, this is a classic, clean staple I think everyone should try this Fall.
Loafers - Although chunky loafers were in the splotlight for quite a few seasons, the traditional loafer has finally made its way back around. This pair is my favorite of the season.
Ankle Boots - A pair of ankle boots is one thing in my closet that I'll keep for years and years. This Marc Fisher kitten heel is front and center in my rotation this season (code DANIELLE20 gets you 20% off always, and is stackable on sales).

Staple Accessories
Classic Bag - And no, it doesn't have to be designer! If you are buying designer, YSL is usually my brand of choice because I find that their bags are very practical and versatile. You can also find a ton of budget-friendly options on Amazon. Check out my Amazon Storefront for all my faves.
Suede Bag - This doctor style bag from Amazon has an identical look and feel to The Row Margaux for a fraction of the price. If you're looking for something more compact, this Verafied hobo bag is a gorgeous option without spending designer prices.
Everyday Tote - I use my DeMillier New York tote every day, so it's certainly been worth the investment. That said, you can find great budget-friendly options too like this or this.
Jewelry, etc. - Give me a pair of gold hoops and a layering necklace, and I'm set. You can use code DANIELLE 20 for 20% off any Electric Picks jewelry (plus, the brand has a lifetime guarantee on any piece you buy!).
